May 5 - July 3, 2008 Oil paintings by Shannon Barry Shannon Barry is a student at the Gage Academy of Art in Seattle. This young artist works primarily in oil on canvas with subject matter being the sky. The body of work presented at the Sisters Restaurant consists of imagined skies, most containing a hint of the landscape or ocean below. Some are bright, and more cartoonist, with outlined clouds and dappled color. Some are more true to the skies we see, hinting at a sense of realism.
